Friday, January 23, at 7:00 p.m. Poetic-musical recital, book presentation in homage to the poet of the Generation of '27, Margarita Ferreras

Ávida llama. Voces para una antología sinfónica (Avid Flame. Voices for a Symphonic Anthology) is born, out of love for the poetic word, from a constellation of literary voices attuned to this choral song: a cry, a clamor surrounding the figure of Margarita Ferreras on her 125th anniversary. With a prologue by Roberta A. Quance and an epilogue by Jaime Siles. Featuring contributions from more than fifty personalities of contemporary cultural life, to which previously unpublished texts have been added.

Dolores Fidalgo Estévez holds a degree in Hispanic Philology (University of Salamanca) and a master's degree in Violence Prevention and Treatment (University of Extremadura). She is a Spanish Language and Literature teacher and a founding member of the Women's Legacy Foundation.
Since 2023 she has belonged to the Margarita Ferreras Literary Circle.
In 2025 he published the edition of Ávida llama. Voces para una antología sinfónica, his latest work.

Margarita Ferreras (Alcañices, 1900 - Palencia, 1964), a writer and woman without equal, a unique poetic voice in the Generation of '27, a rebel against the norm, irreverent in her public appearances, transgressive and daring. Nothing in the avant-garde cultural atmosphere of Madrid at the time escaped her interest.
He shared friendships and interactions with all the greats. A long and endless list of intellectuals populated his personal world. But life reserved for him the bitter pill of loneliness when the Civil War broke out and the dictatorship was established in Spain.

Participants : Pilar Antón (poet), Ángel Fernández Benéitez (poet), Yolanda Fidalgo (novelist), Ana Castro (student of the Zamora Music Band School).
