This exhibition, which takes its title from the poetry collection by Juan Ramón Jiménez, Animal de fondo, who was a friend and companion in New York of Joaquín Vaquero Palacios, aims to highlight the intense influence that the city of Segovia and its Castilian surroundings had on the work of the Vaquero family.

The exhibition offers a journey through the moments when Romanian art and architecture broke with convention, exploring new forms, materials, and languages. Conceived as a large puzzle of sketches, models, objects, and photographs, it reconstructs the creative process of an architecture defined by experimentation, freedom, and the courage to innovate.
