Lorenzo Montatore (Madrid, 1983) is a comic book author born in the middle of the M40 ring road who now hides away in a remote village in Extremadura, where he photocopies and staples fanzines, as if he were always starting over. He invents hours of the day to carve and sand pieces of wood just for the pleasure of blowing away the sawdust, writes jokes in verse, and jots down all the words his neighbors invent. Rockdelux ranked his comic ¡Cuidado, que te asesinas! (La Cúpula, 2018) 77th on its list of the 100 best comics of all time.
Rut Pedreño , an illustrator from Valladolid who, despite her youth, has already received important recognitions such as the award for Best Children's and Young Adult Comic at the Barcelona Comic Fair 2022 for the work Nicoleta and the mystery of the fang of which she is co-author.
She graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2018. Since then, she has collaborated on projects as an independent artist, and although her work focuses on comics and publications, she seeks to break out of that framework by exploring different formats and media such as murals, animation, self-publishing, and exhibitions.
José Gálvez Miguel , better known as Pepe Gálvez, is a screenwriter, illustrator, critic, and theorist of the comic book world. Since the 1970s, he has worked as a comic book writer, critic, and theorist. His best-known scripts were written for the illustrator Alfons López (Murder in the Mosque, Color Café, Silences: The Youth of Captain Thunder, Miguel Núñez: A Thousand More Lives, and the strips Expediente Express and Segis). He has contributed to both general and specialized comic book magazines and newspapers. He also curates comic book exhibitions and has taught courses and workshops on the subject. He was a co-founder of several working groups (such as Tanta Tinta) and a contributor to other publications such as Tebeosfera.
