Ceferina and Ceferino are not what they seem. They have nothing in common and can barely stand each other. Why, then, are they forced to share the stage night after night? Ceferina is a practical, materialistic, strong-willed, and independent woman who is quite content living alone. Ceferino is a man of relaxed habits and a dissolute lifestyle: something of a Don Juan, very self-assured and obsessed with his amorous conquests. Both, constantly arguing and comically clashing, will gradually reveal the cause of their unusual situation, while trying to entertain the audience with curious recitations, varied stories... even magic and the occasional song. All of this is drawn from oral, literary, and theatrical traditions, or is of their own invention, and seasoned with the costumes, hats, and trinkets they find in a large trunk. This is a highly playful, fast-paced, and humorous show that tackles, from a whimsical perspective, the difficulties of coexistence between men and women, both in their personal relationships and at work. Each, he and she, with their own way of feeling, thinking, and acting. They are at odds, yet compelled to cooperate and move forward. Condemned, or perhaps more accurately, saved by that extra effort to understand each other and organize the division of labor, despite all the difficulties, in order to bring a theatrical performance to life. It is also a play within a play, a nod to and tribute to all the performers throughout history who, night after night, display their artistry to entertain and amuse audiences of all ages. THEATER as a transformative element, a stage for the confrontation of opinions and the overcoming of inequalities.
