The activities begin on the Friday we call Carnival Friday, and extend until Ash Wednesday. Costume balls are held in which all the residents of Piedralaves participate, as well as the neighbors from the surrounding villages, making the venues designated for these celebrations too small. This is why, for some years now, it has been necessary to make a temporary expansion of the space to accommodate all the people who visit Piedralaves during the festivities.

For some years now, the children's parade has been held on Saturday afternoon, in which the youngest children show off and which each year gains more importance to the point that there were more than twenty groups in the last edition held, not counting the individuals and couples.
