A choreographic creation by Mónica de la Fuente and Nazaré de la Fuente that explores the mother-daughter relationship and the search for identity in dance, in a dialogue between Spanish and contemporary Indian dance. Identity and the umbilical bond. A play of doubling, confusion, and the search for identities between mother and daughter. Inspired by the performers' biographies, it speaks of several generations of women intertwined by invisible threads. Tradition, transmission, and transgression guide them as they journey to discover the true meaning of art in their lives. Through a dialogue between contemporary Indian and Spanish dance, this performance weaves together life and art. This umbilical relationship of invisible threads is presented as a quest, a learning experience, and a celebration of that visceral and universal need to find peace and harmony within this complex web of vital connections. "There is nothing more powerful than the current of energies between two like bodies, one of which has dwelt within the other, which has rested in the amniotic bliss of the other. One of which has suffered to give birth to the other. These are the elements for the deepest reciprocity and the most painful separation." Adrienne Rich (Of Woman Born).
THE SHOW "INHABITED BODY" IS PART OF THE DOCUMENTARY PRODUCED BY ANNA SAURA AND BOBBY BEDHI FROM INDIA AS THE FIRST FILM CO-PRODUCTION BETWEEN INDIA AND SPAIN, WHICH WILL BE PREMIERED INTERNATIONALLY IN AUTUMN 2025.
