Aliens Will Come and They Will Have Your Eyes, written and directed by María Velasco and hailed as one of the best plays of the season, presents love, as an encounter with the unknown and a cognitive adventure, as a supernatural event. Halfway between autofiction and science fiction, the refrain is that love stories, in a society that seeks comfort and security (economics) from affection, are stories of UFOs. SYNOPSIS: A woman reaches middle age, an emotional outcast on planet Earth. The arrival of a new love is comparable only to a nighttime sighting, a UFO landing, an alien contact—a supernatural event capable of returning her to magical thinking and the need for grand utopias.
