Majuelo has migrated from the rural world to the urban one, and his village roots are etched in his very being. His peasant mannerisms and thoughts will make it difficult for him to blend into the anonymous crowds of the city, and at the same time, will allow his memory to reclaim the world he comes from and from which he can never truly detach himself. Four artists from the Castilian countryside will immerse us in the Castilian fields through sound and noise, words, movement, and objects. All these elements combine to create a unique theatrical piece. The aim is for the audience to learn, think, feel moved, and develop a connection to our land. "Stories of Yesteryear" is a show full of humor and anecdotes. Our goal is for older generations to reminisce about these old stories they heard in their childhood and for younger generations to begin to appreciate them as part of our roots and culture. A show with that rural feel, with the flavor and knowledge of the land they come from, because they are anecdotes, legends and songs to tell and be told.
