A project to raise awareness through theater and debate that incorporates a gender perspective and the prevention and identification of bullying.
Lola is a young actress with a big dream: to succeed on stage. Full of enthusiasm, she joins a theater company convinced that her big break has arrived.
But she soon discovers that the lead actress, blinded by jealousy, is plotting to get her fired from the company. Thus, Lola becomes a victim of bullying and feels alone, sad, and adrift.
When all seems lost, the magic of theater appears at the most unexpected moment. Two magical and very funny characters cross their path:
Maruja Mallo, the brilliant painter of the Generation of '27, and Margarita Xirgu, the legendary actress who took Lorca's work around the world.
Together they form "Las artistas trashumantes y olé", a wandering company that makes visible the intangible and cultural heritage, highlighting the work of women artists, writers, dancers, playwrights, actresses, painters, singers and stage directors who have not received the recognition or their deserved place in history.
Thanks to them, Lola will regain her confidence and learn something much more valuable than fame: recognizing bullying, regaining her confidence, and discovering that true brilliance comes from within and from respect.
A necessary theatrical offering for schoolchildren and families, focusing on an often minimized reality. Preventing, identifying, and ending bullying are the objectives of this show, which explores a universe of emotions, songs, masks, puppets, and shadows.
Genre: Theatre. Style: Tragic-Comic. Duration: 60 min.
Show included in the programming of the Scenic Circuits of Castilla y León.
