THE ODYSSEY

A multidisciplinary show in which the actor Jesús Torres is accompanied by the renowned fado singer Rosario Solano to bring the famous story of The Odyssey to our times, combining absolute respect for the classic text, use of new technologies and projections and live music.

SYNOPSIS:

There are as many Odysseys as there are readers who dare to sail through their pages. In Homer's verses, written more than two thousand years ago, we find a hero who battles gods and monsters, giants and sorceresses, to return home. And amidst the lines that extol the hero, the figure of the man is shipwrecked: the soldier scarred by the horrors of the Trojan War, the sailor torn between returning to land or losing himself at sea... But one can also read the story of the waiting son, the child who grows up waiting for his father to return from his personal Odyssey.
