Presentation «The lyre of the muses (current poetry in Castilla y León)», given by the poet Fermín Herrero, winner of the Castilla y León Literature Prize and organized by the Castilian and Leonese Institute of Language.

The lecture will offer an overview of Castilian and Leonese poetry from the Generation of '98 to the present day, with special attention to contemporary authors and a discussion of selected texts. It is designed as an educational event for literary enjoyment and will therefore be accessible to a wide range of audiences.

Fermín Herrero is a Spanish poet born in 1963 in Ausejo de la Sierra (Soria), renowned for his work deeply connected to the Castilian landscape and recognized with awards such as the Hiperión, the Jaime Gil de Biedma, and the Castilla y León Prize for Literature. His poetry stands out for its understated, essential, and highly personal voice, far removed from literary trends.
