These are films that contain a line of dialogue, a gesture, a scene, a character, or a detail that jars, makes one uncomfortable, or is unsettling. People talk about Mary Hatch, Laura Hunt, Lawrence of Arabia in the desert, Ilsa Lund in a Parisian window, the alien Klaatu threatening Earth, Indiana Jones's glasses, or Christopher Leiningen's library.
