The Library invites you to discover the work of the artist Rosa Blanco Bocos.
An exhibition comprised of 23 works, which opens on Friday, April 10th at 7:00 pm, to which the artist Fran Herreros dedicates these kind words.
Again and again, magic. A need for absurd balancing acts. I went to bed late, but today I needed to write to you, Rosa. Bold brushstrokes, internal struggles where new paintings will emerge. Solitude in the studio... or not? A cry to life, to the heart, to passion, to love. A brushstroke to another gaze, to the madness of memories, to family, to the innocence of pure snow in secret forests. Undecipherable stories. And Rosa began to paint... Night was falling, and I sat and waited while those paintings took shape. Another look, this time at her palette. Each of Rosa's paintings carries a charge of sincere emotion, romantic journeys of intimate inner monologues, pictorial layers where the keys to her own code, based on sincerity, are hidden. Chromatics, murmurs of small brushstrokes, anticipation of what was appearing. Snowy mountains, glimpses of the sea, forbidden walks, tightrope walkers from the circus of her dreams. I'm still moved. Sitting in a wooden chair. Rosa is truth, she is life, she is strength, she is "another perspective." Vital colors on a blank canvas. Time passes. And she, unaware of the hour, remains immersed in the game of painting. Her painting. Nothing is the same. Nothing is real. Nothing is planned. Nothing is a fall. She stops, sits down, and her eyes wander. Journeys to sunrises in her mind, rivers of lost tears, and a bicycle in solitude. Her constant search, her intensity, her smile, her pictorial clarity, form a cocktail where, if we drink it, we will find the moment to savor what painting truly is. The hours continued to pass. Enveloping paintings. I attentively examine each canvas. In silence, so as not to stop dreaming. An indecipherable enigma, where I couldn't see her other perspective. I felt an exhausting silence. Brushstroke after brushstroke. I looked at her. Space, a place with the easel in the background. The hours passed, the night ended, and the sun began to rise. Without a word to say, without a single word, I spent the night surrounded by color, by brushes stained with thousands of colors, by canvases torn by other gazes, hers. Everything ready to see her works. Thank you, Rosa, for this effort, for making us part of your works, your brushstrokes, your dreams, your "other gaze." Feel the emotions, take your bike, climb the mountains, look at the sea, lose yourself in the forests, and never tire of looking at her painting, the painting with... another gaze.
