AltaVOZ: 1st Conference on Image and Sound

From the Audiovisual Production and Shows cycle, the IES La Vaguada de Zamora, altaVOZ is launched, a project that will host two days of presentations (April 15 and 17) given by professionals from the audiovisual sector (cinema and shows ) and a short film competition (April 16) with €1000 in prizes.
With this project, IES La Vaguada aims to position itself as a center of reference in vocational training in image and sound in Castilla y León, promoting the exchange of ideas, creativity and professional development in its educational community.

On April 15th, the conference will take place in the Library, with talks that aim to create a space for debate between speakers and the public on the situation of the sector, the future outlook and the role that audiovisual education and training plays in all of this.

Speakers:

Nieves Garcimartí is the Stage Manager of the Teatro Real in Madrid. She holds a degree in Set Design and is a specialist in applied arts related to sculpture. Since 2009, she has dedicated herself fully to the Stage Management of Theatre and Opera at the Teatro Real in Madrid, in addition to managing productions at venues such as the Teatro Español and Teatros del Canal.

Alba Castrillo. Cultural Manager. Holds degrees in Journalism, Advertising, and Public Relations, and a Master's in Cultural Project Management. She currently combines her role as Director of the "En un lugar del Norte" festival in Palencia with managing concert venues in Madrid, where she is Head of Production and Programming. She has also worked as Head of Venues at the Titirimundi International Puppet Festival in Segovia.

Javier Hernández and Zoe Sylvester , producers of the Z Live Festival . Javier is the Production Director at LetZedLive, the company that promotes the Z Live Festival in Zamora. Zoe Sylvester holds an Advanced Vocational Training Certificate in Audiovisual Production and Entertainment and a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. She is currently the Operations Coordinator at LetZedLive. Zoe is also an alumna of IES La Vaguada, the school that organizes the festival.

The altaVOZ awards gala will take place on April 16th at Multicines Zamora, an event where the finalist short films will be screened and the winning works will be announced.

The presentations will continue on April 17th at the Ethnographic Museum of Castilla y León.
