Sometimes poetry becomes music. Sometimes protest songs become folklore, dodging censorship. Sometimes anonymity makes song tradition, and sometimes tradition is forged in the truths told in bars, both past and present. Sometimes, song speaks of human geography and how one's surroundings and community blur boundaries. Sometimes, tradition is child's play.

Sometimes, the song is sung "for" oneself and the birds that accompany one. Sometimes, legends hold a grain of truth, despite being full of lies, and sometimes, lies are what build the story. Sometimes, a lot of history is trapped in a drama, and sometimes there are always things.

Costumbrismo is about sharing soul, dance, poetry, and hunger; love and heartbreak, victory and defeat. It's about sharing the memory of those who came before and the present moment of who we are.

Costumbrismo is a paganly human memoir, and there were human beings, just as there are. With the same vital vertigo that comes from this dizzying railing that is life.

Entavía represents the need to speak of the present through the past. A borrowed past that reaches us not only in the form of melodies. Its codes, forms, and processes by which a traditional performer became one are part of our universe.

Our repertoire incorporates both traditional and newly composed melodies that help us fulfill our commitment to our tradition and the reality that surrounds us. This commitment is reflected in our activism, which we consider essential. We also incorporate instruments we have created ourselves, striving to connect with the reality of the traditional musician, who was defined by playing an instrument they had built themselves. Therefore, we move away from a more historically informed interpretation and delve into creating a repertoire that connects and interacts with the listener.
