FOLK ON CREST is a group from Salamanca whose repertoire is divided between traditional songs and original compositions. The project, established in 2008, has already released five albums. The group members seek to highlight the diverse musical sensibilities that converge in a true cultural mission: to contribute to the dissemination of the music of Salamanca and the Meseta Central region.
Castilian and Leonese, recognized as very rich in rhythms and melodies.
The influence of music and styles from other parts of the world has brought new ideas that are reflected in the group's compositions. Their concerts are filled with a repertoire that leaves no one indifferent; in some songs, the audience becomes involved with the music, interacting and feeling an irresistible urge to move and dance, while in others, the quiet listening evokes a nostalgic journey into memory.
