On her first night working as a guard at the Museum of Love and Gold, Juana Inés, from Salamanca, makes her rounds to ensure everything is in order. Suddenly, the lights go out, she trips, falls, and loses consciousness—or so it seems. When she awakens, she encounters a strange guard who appears to be from another time, carrying a candle as a lantern and wearing a peculiar outfit. Who is this strange character? Who comes from another era? Who is the rightful guard? Has Juana Inés gone mad? Why do they communicate through poems and dialogues from plays? Is it true that one of the protagonists is a descendant of Francisco de Vitoria's family?
Paintings of the most illustrious poets of the 16th and 17th centuries, period costumes, marvelous poems, and a few lessons on the School of Salamanca. "Museum of Love and Gold" is a comedic tribute for audiences aged 15 and up to several Spanish authors of the Golden Age, their writings, poems, and theatrical dialogues, and the School of Salamanca itself. A theatrical production where literature and thought intertwine, thanks to this unique era.
