A talk about beauty, love, art and writing, coordinated by Omar García Temprano, professor of philosophy.

The library proposes to create an informal meeting space designed for dialogue and conversation around philosophical issues.

We're inaugurating this Philocafé with a talk on one of Plato's most beautiful dialogues: the Phaedrus . Using excerpts that will be made available to attendees, and following an introductory talk aimed at unraveling some of the dialogue's key themes, a discussion will be opened to debate the most interesting questions this reading raises: What is beauty and what is its function? Why is love so important in our lives? Which are the best speeches?
