After the uncertain darkness of that colorless winter,

Then came springs full of life,

And here we are...

José de Leon returns to Ármaga with Primaveras del alma (Springs of the Soul), an exhibition that brings together sixty previously unseen works created during the last two winters in his main studio located in Carbajal de Fuentes (Leon). After traveling to various cities (New York, Rome, Paris, New Delhi, Madrid, Berlin...) and experiencing a darker period starting in 2020 ( Crónicas de una pandemia - Chronicles of a Pandemic ), the artist has retreated into a more intimate and free creative process , where intuition and inner drive guide the direction of each work .

José de Leon develops a direct, unmethodical style of painting that explores new paths within his unique surrealist vision . His works are born from color and move into unexpected territories, constructing scenes where logic disappears to make room for the symbolic, the emotional, and the mysterious.
