MODERN DANCE WITH ACOUSTIC MUSIC AND LIVE POETRY

This project by dancer Diana Villalobos Diez, together with the duo Lugares Comunes (comprised of María Elena de Prada on guitar and Katrina Penman on flute), aims to present, in a contemporary way, beloved poems and music about inspiring women throughout history. The project originated in 2022 through MAPVA, the Association of Professional Women Artists of Valladolid , and has been performed in various venues throughout the city and province.

The performers of the Duo Lugares Comunes aim to blur the lines between classical and popular music, folkloric and modern, and above all, to enjoy and share emotions through music, drawing inspiration from the poetry of women from Hispanic and international countries. Diana Villalobos, from Valladolid, interprets these compositions with her own fresh and original choreography.
