"Let's Make Punch and Judy Puppets. For What Purpose?" is an exhibition based on Rodorín's book of the same name (published by Ediciones Modernas el Embudo) that transforms into a unique cabinet of puppetry curiosities. Through puppets, miniature theaters, objects, photographs, illustrations, and texts, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the creative processes of traditional puppetry: how it is constructed, how it is animated, and how stories are told with the hands.
The exhibition combines collector's items with educational and artistic materials, creating a journey that ranges from ancient crafts to contemporary creations. Photographs by Perdinande Sancho, original illustrations by Elena Odriozola, and ballads on fabric add a visual and literary dimension that enriches the overall experience.
José Antonio López Parreño, known as Rodorín , is a puppeteer with over forty years of experience and a leading figure in Spanish puppetry. He has toured stages throughout the country with his puppets and objects, creating his own unique universe where storytelling and craftsmanship are inextricably linked.
The production and curating are by Artísticas López.
