On a drifting raft, five castaways reach the Indies: a young captain determined to repeat the feats of the conquistadors and expand the Empire, a boastful soldier who (he says) was present at the Battle of Tenochtitlán and the Sad Night, an evangelizing missionary in search of the souls of the Indians, a veiled lady hiding a secret, and a rat riddled with smallpox.

The Deconquest is a comedic and musical road movie, a burlesque celebration based on the chronicles of the New World.
