For the eleventh consecutive year, the Museum of Leon hosts the photographs of the participants in the contemporary urban photography competition convened by the Chamber of Urban Property of Leon, this time under the motto "Miradas en movimiento" (Moving Gazes).

In this edition, the jury has distinguished three photographs that stand out for their ability to represent gazes and movement from clearly differentiated visual and narrative approaches.

The first prize has been awarded to ¡¡Goooool!! Echo of an Impact , by Ana María Loreto, a contemporary proposal that explores the expressive possibilities of color to convey movement, energy and intensity.

The second prize went to Cruce de Caminos , by Julio César Alonso Paniagua, a more classic interpretation, resolved in black and white, in which composition, light and the decisive moment take on special importance.

For its part, the third prize has been awarded to El paseíto , by Carlos González Sánchez, an ethnographic look in which gestures, looks and the cultural context provide a documentary and anthropological reading of the scene.

Taken together, the three award-winning works demonstrate the richness of approaches that photography can take to address the same concept, offering three complementary approaches to the photographic language.

The competition thus maintains its commitment to the dissemination of contemporary photography and to the construction of a visual memory of the Leonese territory.
