Aimed at students in the fourth year of Secondary School and the first year of Baccalaureate , it is a project coordinated by the "Royal Palace of Valladolid" Chair of Cultural Heritage and Defense (University of Valladolid - Ministry of Defense) with the collaboration of the Provincial Historical Archive of Valladolid (Palace of the Vivero), IV General Sub-Inspectorate of the Army (Royal Palace), General Archive of Castilla y León (Palace of Licenciado Butrón) and Museum of Valladolid (Palace of Fabio Nelli).

Palaces 3 is structured around visits to four historic palaces in the city of Valladolid, where students will discover characteristic elements of Valladolid's palatial architecture from the 15th and 16th centuries , as well as its typological evolution and relationship with the city. In this sense, in addition to incorporating some of its key historical and artistic aspects, the itinerary employs a novel architectural and spatial approach, which is not common in programs for these educational levels.

The four palaces ( Palacio de los Vivero , Palacio Real , Palacio del Licenciado Butrón, and Palacio de Fabio Nelli ) have the advantage of being very close to each other, and the route is partially pedestrianized. The maximum total duration is estimated at 3.5 hours, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Palacio de los Vivero and concluding between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. at the Palacio de Fabio Nelli. At each building, students will complete a worksheet about its representative elements or landmarks (façade, entrance hall, courtyard, and staircase), with their teachers responsible for their supervision and movement. The worksheets will be provided to the students, and a teacher's guide containing information about the itinerary, learning scenarios, and answer key will be provided to the teachers. In addition, a guided tour of the entire itinerary will be offered to teachers in September.

Registration will open on September 14th.

As in the previous year, this 2026-2027 academic year, one visit per month will be offered for a single group or line (maximum 25 people), which will take place on the third Thursday of each month.

Reservations will be made in strict order of entry to the email palacios3@uva.es as indicated on the websites and media of both the Museum of Valladolid (visit coordinator) and the Royal Palace of Valladolid Chair.
