The Castilian and Leonese Institute of Language and the Simoneta cultural project are promoting the recording of a new session of the cultural podcast ¿Seguimos o no ? (Shall we continue or not?) at the Palacio de la Isla in Burgos on Monday, September 4th, at 7:30 pm . This space for dialogue is conceived as a place for public, reflective and intimate conversation about the doubts, decisions and conditions faced by the various agents involved in the book creation cycle.

The president of the Guild of Publishers of Castilla y León, José Ángel Zapatero, editor of the Palencia-based Menoscuarto Ediciones, along with Ana Guerrero, from the Segovia-based publisher Maniac Ediciones, specializing in the thriller genre, are the two guests of this new meeting that will revolve around the publishing world.

Editing as a form of resistance is the motto of this new gathering, which focuses on independent publishing and explores the possibility of sustaining a publishing project from a provincial level. In this context, the conversation delves into the figure of the editor as a vulnerable individual, beset by economic, emotional, and ethical tensions. The publishing process emerges as a form of cultural resistance, but also as a site of continuous strain.
