On Friday, September 25th at 7:00 p.m. , in the Auditorium of the Palencia Public Library , a literary afternoon will be held with the presentation of the book Other Stories by Daniela Dibarboure Santana .

Other Stories brings together 16 testimonies from people who have been in traffic accidents. This book addresses sensitive topics: resilience, personal growth, the universal demand for accessibility, and the struggle and voice of a minority group. Daniela knows this reality firsthand, as she uses a wheelchair as a result of a car accident she suffered 18 years ago. For this work, she received the Odiseo Award in 2024, granted by the Honorary Commission for Disability of Uruguay.

Previously, in 2021, she published her novel Unexpected Life, a work of fiction in which she explores the process of mourning and the reconstruction of family and friendship ties in the face of the loss of a loved one after a road accident.

Daniela Dibarboure Santana was born in Canelones, Uruguay, on October 19, 1988. She holds a degree in Social Communication from the Catholic University of Uruguay. Her professional profile was solidified after a long stay in Bordeaux, France, where she worked as a Spanish Assistant, which positioned her on the international stage.

Free admission until full capacity.
