Presentation of the catalogue book of the exhibition Before the Landscape by Santiago Santos.

The exhibition curators Ana Gabrielle Ballate and Yadira de Armas and Santiago Santos are participating.

The catalogue contains the photographs of the exhibition that took place this summer in the upper cloister of the library and the full text of the project authored by the curatorial collective Ballate Armas .

Santiago Santos ' photographic practice revolves around an extensive and critical look at the territory with long-term series in which he shows the relationship and influence of human beings on their environment.

For years he has showcased his work through numerous exhibitions in museums and public spaces.

Since 2015, Gabriela Ballate and Yadira de Armas have formed the curatorial collective BallateArmas. Their working methodologies have solidified into a collective and integrated approach from which they conceive, research, and develop curatorial projects. Their curatorial practice stems from research and is activated through practical experience. They understand contemporary art as a space of friction, narrative, and memory.
