José Ramón Ayllón presents the book "The Gaze of El Cid", his latest publication.

This work offers a glimpse into Spain and Europe at the heart of the Middle Ages. It situates El Cid within the endless struggle between Moors and Christians. And it gives voice to the epic poem that has made him one of the most universally recognized Spaniards. Written in an accessible style, this small book compiles the conclusions of leading researchers and reflects a rich historical reality that doesn't need fictional elements to captivate the reader.

The author will be accompanied by Ignacio González de Santiago.

The activity is organized in collaboration with the Provincial Association of Booksellers of Burgos.
