At my own pace. Full inclusion in Castilla y León.

This guide stems from the work carried out in various workshops with over 40 older adults with intellectual disabilities , who shared their experiences, needs, and ideas about how to live active aging with appropriate support. The project also benefited from the participation of illustrator Elisabeth Justicia , creator of the character Dominga Habla Sola (Dominga Talks to Herself) . Based on the experiences and contributions gathered during the workshops, the illustrator created nine illustrations that accompany and bring to life the guide's content.

At My Own Pace is a guide for professionals that includes suggested activities for promoting active aging in people with intellectual disabilities. The activities are designed to be carried out with the individuals themselves, professionals, families, and other members of their support network. The goal is to provide tools to support people with intellectual disabilities during this stage of their lives, fostering their participation, autonomy, and decision-making, while respecting each person's individual pace and preferences.

Plena inclusión Castilla y León: a federation that brings together entities that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families in Castilla y León.

There will be a presentation with a discussion on aging and music.

The event will end with a performance by the traditional music group Mayalde .
