The Territorial Service of Culture, Tourism and Sport of Salamanca has organized an exhibition in which three of its dependent centers collaborate: Provincial Historical Archive, Public Library and Museum of Salamanca.

The exhibition, based at the Museum of Salamanca , is entitled "SALAMANCA DESAMORTIZADA" (Salamanca Disentailed) and aims to explore the vicissitudes of the disentailed heritage of both the city and the province. It will be open to the public from October 8 to December 20.

The aim has been to create an accessible exhibition for all audiences, using a series of panels to illustrate the evolution of the disentailment process and its impact on Salamanca. The exhibition also includes a large map of the city in the 19th century showing the disentailed buildings, and another map of the province highlighting the large estates belonging to the regular and secular clergy that were sold between 1836 and 1844.

The Provincial Historical Archive of Salamanca contributes about twenty documents from various collections such as Notarial Protocols, the Ensenada Cadastre, the Provincial Treasury Administration, the Monuments Commission and some private collections, all of them related to the sale of goods, the affected convents or the buyers themselves.

The Museum of Salamanca , created initially to collect and preserve works from convents and colleges that were seized by the state, exhibits a series of pictorial works collected in several of them.

The Salamanca Public Library will host a series of lectures throughout October illustrating the disentailment process from literary, artistic, architectural, and legal perspectives. They will take place on October 1, 8, 15, and 22 at 7:00 p.m.
