A saleswoman-town crier arrives in Salamanca looking for lives. She carries all her fortune in her cart. She sells fruit, sausages, cheese, bread and everything else she has. Few people trust her. When sales are not good, she has to tell stories and pass the hat to see if some pennies fall. After trying to sell some tools and not succeeding, it is time to start the show. Town crier and storyteller, something she learned from her husband, the rogue begins to relate like a great puppeteer the story of Lázaro de Tormes, adventures and misadventures that the rogue starred in to be able to eat. She immerses us in stories and legends, she bewitches us and deceives us to get a coin and something to put in our mouths. Afterwards, she can continue on her way. A path that will take her to another square, to another city, to any other place where she can deceive and continue surviving. Our protagonist is none other than Teresa, lady of Lázaro de Tormes. The Rogue who deceived the Rogue.
