For a poet of nature like Claudio Rodríguez, the importance of the four elements is consolidated throughout his work as a necessary conceptual proposition. Thus, the presence of water in its different manifestations becomes one of the key themes for understanding the flow and vibrancy of his landscapes and verses.

From the "Duradero" river of his Zamora, rooted in and attached to his entire being as a traveler, to the enduring presence of the Cantabrian Sea of ​​his Zarautz, both necessary and crucial in the course of his life, water will be a fundamental reference in the poetic development of his entire work.

For all these reasons, the XI Days of the Claudio Rodríguez Permanent Seminar consider how this fundamental theme appears in his worldview and with the chosen title, "Poetry and Water", it intends to elucidate a poetic practice that is as necessary as it is current and its possible extension towards new poetics and reflections on Poetry in general.

Thursday, November 12

  • 6:45 p.m. Colloquium between Ramón Andrés and Aurora Luque . Water as a lyrical motif , moderated by Fermín Herrero.
  • 8:00 p.m. A guided reading of poems by Aurora Luque and Ramón Andrés . Presented by David Refoyo.

Friday, November 13

  • 5:30 p.m. Presentation of the Italian translation of Claudio Rodríguez's book Conjuros , by Pietro Taravacci . Presented by Catalina Montero.
  • 6:00 p.m. Round table discussion: Words resting on paper . Poetry editors: María Fuentes (Vaso Roto), Isabel Miguel (Lastura), Pepo Paz (Bartleby), Carlos Rod (La uÑa RoTa). Moderated by Héctor Escobar.
  • 7:45 p.m. Commented reading of poems by Jorge Riechmann . Presented by Pedro Ojeda.

Saturday, November 14

  • 11:30 a.m. Colloquium: Claudio Rodríguez and the Media, with poets and journalists Carolina Alba ( La Estación Azul ) and Carlos Alcorta . Coordinator: Javier Lostalé .
  • 1:00 p.m. Concert Del agua viva , by the Arghul Clarinet Quartet (Cecilia Serrano Oliveira, Ana Castro Rodríguez, Mónica Pinilla Fano and Álvaro Lozano Rodríguez).
