Word, song and poetry

Founded in 2004 by actress, director, and playwright Mercedes Herrero Pérez, Pez Luna serves as a research platform exploring two facets: documentary theatre and oral storytelling. Through Pez Luna, she investigates using her own life stories and those of anonymous individuals. With a background in social sciences, education, and the arts, her social research is reflected in her work. She shares this creative platform with artists from other disciplines as each project requires.
Today at Pez Luna, the word prevails with the force of action, the live life document and the ritual as a stage performance.

I spy with my little eye, what don't you see?
What is not named does not exist—this is the central theme of this project, brimming with poetry, humor, and social commentary. A poetic journey through history invites us to reflect on the absence of women in history books, while a sharp critique of traditional tales supports the deconstruction of a Little Red Riding Hood weary and fed up with dragging her heavy red cape.

Assembly Hall of the House of Shells.
