Conference on Violence against Women: Landscape Effect or Blindness by Saturation?

The conference will address whether interest in violence against women is disappearing, examining changes in sensitivity and ideological-political trends that mainly concern young people, and providing concrete data on this phenomenon in Salamanca.

It will continue with an analysis of the cultural polarization between men and women and will clarify the preferential use of gender language versus that of violence in the family sphere.

Subsequently, the escalation of violence will be discussed in detail, noting the common types and profiles of abusers and victims, as well as the reasons that explain the maintenance of the violent dyad.

Finally, some common misconceptions and false beliefs about the aggressor will be reviewed, and the discussion will conclude with lesser-known but equally serious manifestations of violence against women.
