The project "Castreños villages of the Laciana Valley" was born by the Villablino City Council with the purpose of highlighting the archaeological heritage of the region and, in particular, that linked to the world of the Iron Age (7th century). l BC) and its continuity in Roman times in relation to the exploitation of gold (1st-1st century BC). With the various actions undertaken, which include the Rioscuro Interpretation Center and the archaeological excavation, consolidation and explanatory signage of the structures of the La Muela and Zamora forts, a new cultural resource is offered that adds to the natural attractions and landscapes of the valley. From the Rioscuro Interpretation Center, which contains a detailed and didactic explanation of the historical context and archaeological findings, the visiting routes to the forts that are the object of intervention can begin.
