The north of Burgos is an ideal setting to follow the trail of one of the most important dolmen routes in Europe. This megalithic experience takes place through the moors, valleys and canyons of the Sedano and La Lora regions, facilitating the approach to these five thousand year old constructions, today restored and signposted.

These places were used in the Neolithic for collective burials, in which the deceased were deposited with grave goods composed mainly of ornaments and hunting tools.

In some dolmens such as La Cabaña, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, it is possible to see the mortuary chamber, the corridor and the stone mound that protected them.
