Town located in a wide area of Mount Berrueco, quite high, and difficult to find.

It is an abrupt and granitic landscape in which vestiges of various cultures have been found over time, which is why it was declared a Historic Artistic Monument in 1931. In the area called La Dehesa there was a hunting ground in the Magdalenian period of the Upper Paleolithic period; in La Mariselva a town from the Neolithic end to the Copper Age; in Cancho Enamorado there were settlers at the end of the Bronze Age; in Las Paredejas a castro from the Iron Age and in Los Tejares a castro already after Romanization in which numerous coins were found that were grazed by plunder and sold to private collectors.
