The most monumental remain of Castro Ventosa site is the magnificent wall of the Late Roman Empire which is comparable to the Leon, Lugo, Astorga o Braga ones.

The access doors to the city are placed at the ends of the central road which crosses the castro plateau, oriented to the East and West, the Sun Gate and the Wind Gate and flanked by bastions.

The material finds prove its urbanism and allow us to appreciate the perfect integration of the city in the commercial and economic circuits of the Roman Empire and, therefore, of the Via Augusta.
