A notable fortified tower, of solid walls and quadrangular floor, apparently was built by Juan Alfonso Carrillo in the mid-fourteenth century. Several of its windows were modified in the XVI century, including some mullioned windows, and the tower is topped with battlements, most of them have disappeared.
