Ulaca, the lost city of the Vettones, is perched on a hill, overlooking the Amblés Valley. Situated in the south-west of the province, it is undoubtedly one of the most interesting fortified settlements of this period. Its strategic location and the importance of the archaeological sites discovered there have turned it into a unique lost city shrouded in the mists of time.

Visitors following this route will discover that Ulaca is not the only urban testimony left behind by the Vettones. Indeed, the province of Ávila boasts several other interesting sites such as Las Cogotas, in Cardeñosa, La Mesa de Miranda, in Chamartín de la Sierra and the fortified settlement of El Raso, in the heart of the Tiétar Valley, without forgetting the popular Guisando Stone Bulls.
