This tour takes visitors back in time to the days when rock was one of the principal building materials. The Palencia Mountains boast many fine examples, with breathtakingly beautiful landscapes dotted with shrines and unique caves.

This route includes the following sites of interest: the Cave Chapel of San Pelayo in Villacibio, the Church of Los Santos Justo y Pastor carved out of the rock in Olleros de Pisuerga, the Cave Chapel of San Martín in Villarén de Valdivia and the Cave Chapel of San Vicente in Cervera de Pisuerga.
