This region is filled with memories of the Middle Ages, represented by the countless castles and watchtowers. Highlights include the towns of Berlanga, Rello, Caltojar and Brías, as well as the magnificent Mozarabic Chapel of San Baudelio in Casillas de Berlanga, or the legends hidden away in the town of Bordecorex, where the Moor Almanzor is believed to have died.

This special route allows visitors to discover the region known as Tierras de Berlanga, home to imposing watchtowers, chapels and dovecotes. It was also a traditional backdrop for shepherds and their flocks, creating lasting memories of the history that has been played out on these lands.

This route includes the following sites of interest: Berlanga Castle, the Collegiate Church of Berlanga de Duero, the Palace of the Dukes of Frías / the Tovar Family, Aguilera Gate, the Church of San Miguel de Arcángel in Caltojar, La Veruela Watchtower, the Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, the Chapel of La Virgen de la Calzada, Rello walled enclosure, Retortillo walled enclosure and the Chapel of San Baudelio in Casillas de Berlanga.
