On the border between the kingdoms of Aragón and Navarre lies the region known as Tierras de Moncayo, a land of fierce clashes and battles between Christians and Muslims that boasts a series of monuments that reflect the culture, legends and histories of towns and villages that share a wealth of heritage just waiting to be discovered on this fascinating route.

Temples, palaces, museums and fortresses can all be seen on a route that takes visitors through towns such as Ágreda, Ólvega and Beratón from where the majestic Mount Moncayo can be admired in the distance, set against a backdrop of spectacular natural scenery.

This route includes the following sites of interest: in Ágreda, the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Peña, the Church of San Juan, the Church of San Miguel Arcángel, the Basilica of Los Milagros, the Town Hall, the Palace of the Castejón Family, the Renaissance Garden of Don Diego de Castejón, Ágreda walls and the Moorish fountain and gate; in Ólvega, the Church of Santa María la Mayor de Ólvega, Noviercas Tower and the Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer Museum (G. A. B.) Poetry for a Picture of Noviercas, and Vozmediano Castle.
