National Center for Environmental Education CENEAM

CENEAM is a reference center in environmental education that has been working since 1987 to promote the responsibility of citizens in relation to the environment. It is established as a resource center at the service and support of all those groups, public and private, that develop environmental education programs and activities.

Its lines of work focus on the collection and dissemination of specialized information on environmental education; in the design and development of awareness and citizen participation programs; in the development of educational materials and exhibitions; in the organization and support of seminars and other forums for reflection and debate; in the development and execution of environmental training actions; and in cooperation with other public and private entities for the promotion of environmental education.

Environmental Documentation Center open to the public, with online consultation of the Library Catalog and the Digital Photo Library. And access to the Directory of Information and Documentation Centers of Spain.
CENEAM Information Folder , free monthly electronic newsletter of resources for environmental education.
Educational Program "CENEAM with the School" , which aims to bring students closer to the concept of rational use of natural resources through activities, educational workshops and small routes to interpret the environment of the Montes de Valsaín.
Environmental Training Program of the Autonomous Organization National Parks - Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and other courses organized through inter-institutional agreements.
Program of Seminars or Working Groups , discussion forums for professionals in the environment and environmental education sector.
Thematic mini-portals , compilation of resources for education, citizen awareness and public participation in environmental matters, on: Climate Change (for topics related to the application of Article 6 of the Framework Convention on Climate Change), Mobility and Children, Biodiversity, Guadarrama Mountain Range and Network of Sustainable Educational Centers.
"Green Homes" Program and the Recovery and Educational Use of Abandoned Villages Program, two educational programs in collaboration with other administrations.
