The land next to the stone church of San Justo y Pasto is converted for the occasion into both kitchen and improvised dining hall in the open air, where more than 2,000 people assemble to enjoy a plate of rice, at the cost of about three euros.

This festival that started as a local pilgrimage now attracts thousands of tourists, who make the most of the occasion to spend the day at the country celebrations, where the entertainments include folk music and dancing.
