Nestling in the Sierra de Gredos mountains, Pedro Bernardo enjoys a mild climate in winter and warm temperatures in summer. Its wealth of flora is due precisely to the mild weather, which ranges between fourteen and twenty degrees celsius.

This municipality is renowned for its breathtaking views and the Balcón del Tiétar, a viewpoint overlooking the River Tiétar. It is situated between the Tiétar Valley, 400 metres above sea level and the 2,100 metre high Sierra del Risco de Miravalles mountains, at the eastern end of the Sierra de Gredo mountain range.

Water and the many fountains, jets and falls form part of the culture of this town and are popular meeting places. The water flows down from the Chorro and Chorrillo streams in the Sierra de Gredos Mountain Range.
