To the east of Salamanca, near the province of Avila, Peñaranda de Bracamonte rises on the plain.

Historic crossroads in the Cañada de las Merinas, its three twin squares have made this beautiful town with a great commercial past famous thanks to a royal privilege that in the 14th century allowed it to hold the reference market in the area.

In the kitchen, tostón or roast suckling pig is the king of its cuisine, where partridge and lúa, a stew of potatoes, rice and cod, also stand out.
