On the banks of the Arlanza River, next to the Roman road that went from Clunia to Cantabria, to the west of the province of Burgos, is the historic town of Villahoz.

An enclave of civil and religious importance since its consolidation in the 10th century, it was visited by the Catholic Monarchs and Philip II granted it the title of town.

Its historic center preserves its medieval essence and has a good number of stately homes with traditional Castilian architecture.

On the stove, spoon dishes and tasty roast meats, as well as slaughter products such as blood sausage.
