This gothic church was built between the 12th-14th centuries using elements of an earlier structure. Devoted to the Virgen del Rosario, the patron saint of Medina de Pomar since 1571. It has three naves and the central one is wider than the others.

It features the tombstones of the Toba family, dating from the 14th century: the 16th-century Capilla de los Capuchinos; a 17th-century Neo-Classical altarpiece; a Baroque altarpiece in the central chapel dating from the 18th century, which boasts a niche containing a sculpture of Nuestra Señora del Rosario donated by Agustín de Villota; the altarpiece known as 'La Agonía de Jesús' (The Agony of Jesus) dating from the 17th century; the 1170 Baroque organ by Antonio de San Juan; and the tracery work of the choir vaults.
