It was part of an old 12th-century monastery. The church had a single nave. All we can see today is the main chapel, with a semicircular apse and two lateral chapels with flat walls. The front consists of four narrow archivolts reminiscent of San Andrés del Arroyo.

En la plaza, frente a la iglesia, se encuentra el rollo o picota, obra de finales del siglo XV y levantado por los Almirantes de Castilla como su lugar de vasallaje. Se compone de un fuste cilíndrico sobre basa de dos cuerpos.
